Anat Ben-Haim
Welcome
Hebrew Department Chair 7-12

81711_33032_0.jpgAnat Ben-Haim earned her teaching credential at Lewinsky Teachers’ College - in Israel in 1985. Mrs. Ben-Haim specialized in teaching second language, specifically Arabic, a common second language in Israel.

Ms. Ben-Haim received both her BA in Literature of Hebrew Letters and her MAED in Education from the University of Judaism. She also received her certificate in Hebrew Language Teaching and Mentoring from the Hebrew College in Boston.
Additionally, Mrs. Ben-Haim holds a certificate in Early Childhood Development from Los Angeles Valley College. Pursuing her passion for the Arts, Mrs. Ben-Haim also earned a certificate in Interior Design from Learning Tree University (LTU).

Mrs. Ben-Haim strongly believes that mastery of Hebrew will promote students' understanding of their history, culture and tradition, excite them about lifelong Jewish learning, foster a sense of belonging to the Jewish people, and cultivate strong ties with Medinat Yisrael (the State of Israel) and Am Yisrael (the Jewish people). In order to teach a second language successfully, only that language should be spoken in the classroom setting. This method is most conducive to immersing students in the new language without fear of their native language interfering.

Currently Ms. Ben-Haim serves at Milken as the Hebrew Department Chair for grades 7-12. She is married and has three children and four grandchildren.
