Ann Whiting has been a Milken Jewish Studies teacher for four years and now has the opportunity to explore her other academic love, Algebra! Before joining the faculty at Milken, Mrs. Whiting worked closely with many religious education programs while teaching mathematics at Woodrow Wilson Middle School, a magnet school in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Whiting earned a B.A. in Psychology with a minor in Education from UCLA in 1998. She then moved to the midwest to complete an M.Ed. in Gifted Education and to teach middle school mathematics. Mrs. Whiting loved her five years spent teaching mathematics in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mrs. Whiting left Tulsa to pursue an M.A. in Jewish Education from Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion, which she completed in May 2007.
Mrs. Whiting loves to read, spend time outdoors, ski, and travel. Mrs. Whiting is extremely excited to share her passion for Judaism and mathematics with her students! She hopes to help students develop a relationship with the world of mathematics that will inform their daily lives.
