Cheryl Cohen is a native of Los Angeles. She is a graduate of the University of California, Santa Cruz and received her Master’s degree in Jewish Education from Hebrew Union College in 1992. In addition, Ms. Cohen has done graduate work in the field of School Psychology at California State University of Northridge.
This is Ms. Cohen’s ninth year teaching at Milken Community High School. Her first two years were spent teaching eighth grade in the middle school. In 2003 she moved to the high school to teach ninth grade, Foundations in Jewish Law. In addition Ms. Cohen, as a spirtual advisor, leads the intermediate yoga sessions. Prior to working at Milken Community High School, Ms. Cohen worked as a principal of Jewish Schools in both Northern and Southern California. In addition, she worked as the Director of the eighth and ninth grade programs for the Bureau of Jewish Education for four years.
Currently Ms. Cohen lives in Sherman Oaks with her husband Bill and her three children, Jonah (12), Ari (9) and Cayla (6 years). Ms. Cohen is passionate about Jewish education and is excited about sharing her enthusiasm with her students at Milken Community High School.
