Born in Toronto, Canada, Carol Levy received her Bachelor's degree in education from the University of Toronto. After finishing an Ulpan program in Israel, she received a grant from the Israeli government to continue her studies at the Teacher's Seminary in Beer-Sheva for the next three years.
After graduating from the Seminary, Mrs. Levy taught General Studies in Israel for the next five years. She moved to Los Angeles in 1980 and began teaching at Stephen S. Wise Temple Elementary School where where she was also involved writing the Hebrew Program ("Keshet") for the Elementary School.
With the opening of the Middle School, Mrs. Levy began teaching Hebrew in grades seven through eight. In 1999, she started working with Behrman House Publishing. She is presently the author of the book "Reading Readiness," and co-author of books "Shalom U, Vracha" and "Ulpan Aleph."
Interacting with students in class, helping them grow into sound, young adults, and being a part of a wonderful community has only strengthened Mrs. Levy's love for teaching and for education.
