 David Kelly grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Soon after graduating high school he enlisted in the USAF and attended Creighton University and University of Nebraska Omaha. After completing his Air Force tour of duty, Mr. Kelly returned to California where he graduated from the University of Redlands with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems and worked as a systems engineer at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). As a member of the Space Flight Ground Data System testing and design team Mr.
Kelly supported unmanned spacecraft missions to Mars and Venus. David left JPL to pursue a career in teaching. Over the past 10 years, Mr. Kelly has taught science at the elementary and middle school levels, and computer science courses at the high school level. This is Mr. Kelly’s fourth year at Milken Community High School
