Debbie Richards graduated with high honors from the University of California in Santa Barbara, where she earned her BA in Psychology. She went on to receive her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of California in Los Angeles and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Prior to coming to Milken in 2006, Ms. Richards worked as a child advocate, a child forensic interviewer, and a hospital social worker. She also worked teaching an anti-bullying and anti-sexual harassment program in schools all across LA County. It is at that job, Ms. Richards realized that she had a special place in her heart for middle school students.
Ms. Richards is delighted to be the Middle School counselor, an Advisor and the 7th grade Health teacher.
When not teaching, advising, and counseling at Milken, Ms. Richards lives to spend all the time she can with her two amazing kids!
