fharelik.jpgMs. Hellman graduated with a BA degree in English from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a MA degree in English from California State University, Northridge. She taught Freshman and Developmental Composition at Northridge for two years before going on teach English at Pilgrim High School in Los Angeles.

This is her sixth year as an instructor at Milken, and her third year as English Department Chair. Ms. Hellman has also been involved with grading the exit writing exams for California State University, Northridge as well as the Advanced Placement Literature exam for the past ten years.
