 Ivan Podvalov graduated with honors from the National Olympic Academy/Institute of Physical Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where he also obtained his Master's Degree. Additionally, Ivan attended the International Olympic Academy in Athens, Greece, where he furtherd his sports education.
Mr. Podvalov became a member of both the USSR junior team and the National Team of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where he participated in various international championships and competitions including national championships, Central Asian Games, Asian Games, and the Olympics.
Mr. Podvalov started his professional career as a physical education teacher and swim coach in a private school in Almaty city, the Republic of Kazakhstan. In 2001, he moved to the USA, where he now teaches at Milken Community High School.
