Jenny Kopelioff received her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She went on to earn her Master's in Education Sciences at Profesorado de Buenos Aires. Mrs. Kopelioff has taught teachers and administrators in the Master Training Program of the Bilingual office of the Los Angeles Unified School District.
She has instructed teachers at different levels ranging from beginning to advanced proficiency. Her most important mission at LAUSD was to prepare teachers to pass the District Fluency and Language Proficiency tests. During the last few years, Ms. Kopelioff participated in the Kivunim: New Directions program lead by Peter Geffen (Founder and Director).There she learned about the Italian and the Moroccan Jewry; at the same time she went to Israel at the conclusion of each program. This year Jenny was invited to the Nofim Program to learn more about Israel. She already introduced a new unit on the Sephardic Jews in her Spanish IV Honors class.
At Milken, Ms. Kopelioff has taught grades seven through twelve and has successfully introduced and instructed the Advanced Placement class for Spanish. She partcipated as an AP Spanish Reader 2011 for the College Board. In 1999, Mrs. Kopelioff established an exchange program between Milken and Colegio Israelita de Mexico, and still today is a very successful addition to our Spanish program.
