Kimberly Schwartz is the Assistant Principal for Grades 11 and 12. In addition to working as an Assistant Principal, she teaches one section of English 10. This is her fourth year at Milken.
Dr. Schwartz is coming to Milken with a variety of experience working in Jewish institutions, independent schools and private educational enterprise.
Dr. Schwartz earned a B.A. from Stanford University where she studied English and Jewish Studies. She earned a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from University of California, Los Angeles where her dissertation research dealt with the training of independent school teachers to meet the needs of students with learning disabilities. She has been able to continue this teacher training work in local religious school settings in conjunction with the Bureau of Jewish Education.
Outside of school, Dr. Schwartz enjoys reading, writing and spending time with her husband Victor and children Madelyn and Joseph.
