Rabbi Yardeni-Funk was ordained at the Academy for Jewish Religion, Los Angeles, where she received a Master's degree in Rabbinical Studies. She also holds a Master's degree in Education from California State University, Northridge, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from University of California, Los Angeles.
Before joining the Stephen S. Wise Temple organization, Rabbi Yardeni-Funk worked as the Director of Education at Camp Ramah, California. Her “Israel Then, Now and Forever” curriculum was developed as an experiential Israel curriculum for campers.
Rabbi Yardeni-Funk started her Stephen S. Wise career at Milken as the Director of Yozma, Student Initiative for Social Action and then worked as the School Rabbi and Director of Judaic Studies at Stephen S. Wise Temple Elementary School. She rejoined Milken in 2011 as the Director of Israel Programs.
Born and raised in Jerusalem, Rabbi Yardeni-Funk's passion for Israel and Judaism is the main driving force in her life. Her goal is to inspire Milken students to love Israel, its language, people and rich history.
Rabbi Yardeni-Funk is excited to return “home” to Milken and lead the Israel Programs Department. The Tiferet Israel Fellowship, an exceptional three-year experience, is unique to Milken and will provide our students with a connection to Israel that will be transformative and everlasting.
