This is Lidia Turner's seventeenth year at Milken, where she enjoys teaching Hebrew to seventh and eighth graders. Mrs. Turner received her teaching credential as a Hebrew teacher in Montevideo, Uruguay, and her Master's degree in Architecture at the Universidad de la Republica, Uruguay.
Prior to coming to Los Angeles, Mrs. Turner participated in the writing of a series of textbooks called Madregot, created for Hebrew day school students in the Diaspora.
Mrs. Turner is the coordinator of the Nofim program, a new curriculum about Israel, which is being launched for the first time in North America.
Mrs. Turner believes that by learning the Hebrew language and Jewish values, students not only enhance their connections to the land of Israel, but also, enhance their general knowledge as human beings.
