Max Tash has worked in the entertainment industry since 1976. As a writer, producer, and director, he has accumulated more than 150 hours of network and feature film work, experiencing a wide range of productions: high and low budget, drama and comedy, single and multi-camera, film, tape, and digital.
Among his professional credits as a writer, producer or director are WKRP in Cincinnati , Cheers, Fame, Frank’s Place, L.A. Law, Northern Exposure, Parker Lewis Can’t Lose, The Adventures of Captain Zoom in Outer Space, and The Chris Isaak Show. Mr. Tash's documentary "Girls of Summer" (the story of the first all-girl little league team competing in a national all-boys tournament) has screened at the 2008 Feel Good Film Festival, 2009 International Family Film Festival, 2009 Indie Fest (Award of Merit Winner) and at the 4th Annual National Baseball Hall of Fame Film Festival in October, 2009. He is in post-production on another documentary ("Umpires") about amateur baseball from the umpire’s unique perspective.
Mr. Tash began teaching at Milken six years ago and enjoys encouraging the next generation of visual storytellers. In addition to teaching the mechanics of production, Mr. Tash wants to instill in his students an appreciation of good story telling techniques and an understanding of how to use media responsibly. He is the proud father of both a 2007 and 2010 Milken graduate.
