 Mrs. Shepard is originally from Brisbane, Australia, where she received her Music Education degree from the Queensland University of Technology, with her Vocal Major studies conducted through the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. She has sung professionally for over 20 years, including singing and performing in civic and professional operas and musical productions.Since coming to Milken eleven years ago, Mrs. Shepard has been involved in the productions of Leader of the Pack and Bye Bye Birdie. She served as Assistant Musical Director and Performance Coach for the Upper School Productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Guys and Dolls, and Seussical The Musical, served as Musical Director for The Wizard of Oz.
Mrs. Shepard Directed and Produced the Middle School productions of The Apple Tree, Into the Woods Jr., Once On This Island Jr., Seussical Jr., Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr., and most recently Fiddler on the Roof Jr.
Mrs. Shepard directs the Middle School Kol Echad vocal group, instructs an Advisory class, Performing Arts Exploratory Classes (Finding Your Voice), leads a Centre of Excellence, and enjoys working with other departments to develop and enhance performance skills through intercurricular integration.
