Rebecca Hickok is a recent transplant to Southern California, having spent fourteen years living and teaching in San Francisco. A native of Ojai, she is extremely happy about living in the sunshine again.
Rebecca graduated from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Social Science, then moved further up the coast and received her teaching credential from San Francisco State University. Continuing her professional growth, she achieved National Board Certification during her fourth year in the classroom.
Rebecca’s teaching career has provided her with wonderful opportunities to work with students from first through eighth grades. She taught fifth grade for six years at Brandeis Hillel Day School in San Francisco, and is very excited about working in another Jewish Day School. When she is outside of the classroom, she loves running, swimming, cycling and yoga, and has recently taken up competing in triathlons. Sitting on the couch and reading is another of her favorite pastimes. Rebecca is thrilled to be joining the Milken Community High School team and looks forward an exceptional school year.
