A Milken alum, Rami Raff holds a BA in bible studies from the Jewish Theological Seminary and a BA in film studies from Columbia University. He is a Hebrew Union College DeLet fellow with a California state teaching credential and certificate in day school teaching. He formerly served as the interim director of Congregation Tikvat Jacob in Manhattan Beach and the Associate director of Camp Alonim, part of the American Jewish University's Brandeis Bardin campus.
